Stylist FAQ

What metal type should I get these 20mm gold hoop earrings in? Yellow gold is trending right now! However, yellow and white alternate being in style, so you can't go wrong! If the rest of your jewelry is a specific metal type, we'd recommend sticking with that! These lightweight tube hoops come in various metals, so you can find one to match your style. If you'd like 14k rose, platinum, or another metal - please contact us, and we'll try to make it happen!

What other earrings should I pair these with? These thin gold hoop earrings are subtle, so you have endless choices! Our favorite is a diamond huggie to add some sparkle to your ear or an enamel stud to add some color. We also love pairing these small hoops with a small stud.

What other jewelry should I wear with these hoops? Looking for some ideas on what to pair your new hoops with? Whether you're looking for something dressy or casual, we've got you covered. Our favorite thing about hoops is that they go with everything! With these thin gold hoop earrings, we love pairing them with gemstone jewelry to give a sparkle. Try pairing these hoops with a gemstone tennis bracelet and a diamond-cut solitaire necklace.

Are hoops in style? Hoops are a classic jewelry item that never seems to go out of style. These 20mm gold hoop earrings are a subtle way to add some personality to your style.

Are these daytime or nighttime earrings? At Alexis Jae, we joke that my hoop has some sort of superpower. You can wear it whenever, and it's always there for you. It will never let you down! You can wear them with anything, and they instantly add some style to your outfit! We love throwing these hoops on before a zoom call to make us look put together or when we're going out for dinner with friends! These thin gold hoop earrings are our daintiest hoop. We'd opt for a chunky hoop or a hoop with diamonds for fancier events.

Can I get them with screw backs? We've been getting this question more! Absolutely, it's $50 per pair more. Screw backs require fine motor skills, so we'd recommend sticking with the standard pushbacks unless you are comfortable with them.

What material is used? We use pure 14k gold hollow tubing to make these hoops. We are currently offering them in 14k yellow gold and 14k white gold. For larger orders, we can accommodate 14k rose. We only use real gold. A common question we get asked is if these are solid gold. They are not because they are hollow in nature.

We don't sell sterling silver, stainless steel, plated, or filled hoops. At Alexis Jae, our most important priority is creating jewelry that lasts. We have found sterling silver not to be as durable. Additionally, plating and filling tarnish over time.

Are these hoops heavy? No, our customers love how lightweight they are. We're able to make them super light by using hollow tubing. They look great and you barely even know they're there. But make sure to take them off before you go to bed!

What size hoops should I get? When it comes to hoops, you can't go wrong and you can't have enough pairs! These earrings are the perfect small hoops. You can wear them everyday. They'll elevate your outfit without being overpowering. If you're looking to make more of a statement opt for chunky gold hoops. If you're looking for a sparkle - add diamonds.

What other sizes can I get hoops in? The sky is the limit! We're able to customize hoops to make sure you get the size you want! We have tons of other sizes listed on our website, but if you can't find the hoops you're looking for - just ask!

Will my hoops tarnish? No! That's because all of our jewelry is made from pure gold, which never tarnishes.

Should I get these thin small gold hoop earrings as a gift? Yes! If you're on the hunt for a good gift, 20mm hoop earrings are always a safe choice. They never go out of style and they suit any occasion. Hoops make the best gift, especially these. These hoops are a versatile enough size that they can be given to teenagers as their first pair of hoops or worn by adults regularly. Our customers can't get enough of these! We love giving them to friends for their birthday - they're always a hit. These are also a very hot gift for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day! These are one of our best sellers, so we sometimes keep stock of it. Please ask us before ordering if you need it by a certain date. Regardless if they are in stock, we are always happy to provide a gift print for a timely gift.

How do I care for my 20mm gold hoop earrings? Hollow tubing is delicate, so make sure to handle them with care. You should never sleep in earrings because they can pull at your earlobes. We recommend cleaning with soap and water or getting a professional cleaning anytime necessary.

Do your customers like that these 20mm gold hoop earrings have post backs? Yes, they love it! Our customers have found that post-backs look more elegant than latch backs and are more comfortable. If you're set on latch backs, we can make them!

I like these, but I want something with a bit more of a "wow" factor. Do you have any suggestions? We have tons of options! If you like the small look of these but want a bit of a sparkle, try our diamond huggie earrings. If you're a plain gal, a chunky hoop might be a better option - opt for our hoops that are 3mm or 4mm wide. For a real wow factor, get large diamond hoops!
