How to layer necklaces and stack bracelets and rings
When it comes to your fine jewelry, wearing more is more. Today's style means wearing more than one or two of your favorite pieces from your jewelry box. In fact, by layering and stacking your jewelry, you will create a distinct look that showcases your style. Layering jewelry can be tricky, so we've created this guide to help!
Layering Necklaces
Whether you're wearing a crisp white blouse or a plain white tee, layering necklaces will make a stunning fashion statement. After all, why let your faves sit in your jewelry box; wear them together. You might start with a choker-length necklace, like a diamond tennis necklace. Then add a chain necklace, a nameplate necklace, or a simple gemstone by the yard style necklace to the mix that sits at your collarbone. And then follow that with your favorite pendant necklace, statement necklace, or heirloom piece that's a longer length. We loved a layered necklace look!
The key to layering necklaces is to wear different styles at different lengths. The result will be an exciting mix of textures. You will turn those necklaces you used to wear alone into a look much like a statement piece. Sit back and enjoy the compliments.
Bracelet Stack
Stacking bracelets has become a classic look that is so easy to achieve. It has become so popular; some love to wear stacked bracelets on both wrists. Remember, more is more today with fine jewelry. But don't overdo it. A good measure of how many bracelets to wear is about six at most.
What's our favorite bracelet stack? Start with your favorite gold bangle, then add a diamond tennis bracelet or a gemstone tennis bracelet. Next, slip on one or two of your chain bracelets, extra points if they're paperclip bracelets. You can add a 14k gold pearl initial bracelet, other bangles, or gold beaded bracelets for some additional flare. You can even turn your watch into an arm party by teaming it with a chain bracelet and a 14k gold bangle. It's about finding what you love and what you feel comfortable wearing.
Stacking your favorites in all one metal, like gold, rose gold, gold vermeil, platinum, or silver, creates a beautiful look that's both bold and classic. Mixing metals and textures creates a stylish look. It's all up to you.
Stackable rings
Stacked rings are a look that is here to stay. Start with a delicate heart stacking ring next to your favorite cocktail ring. Add to that look another gemstone ring on top of the other one. Much like bracelets, stacking rings means achieving a mix of textures to find a stack that you will love wearing.
From your pinky to your thumb, you have so many options for wearing rings. Any combination can look fabulous. You can wear a thin yellow gold ring on top of another yellow gold ring. Or slip on a simple birthstone ring in between the two. And the same goes for white gold on white gold. Stacked rings can look beautiful when wearing a cocktail ring on the same hand, too. Just place them a finger or two apart. Or slip on a dainty stacking ring next to your engagement ring. It's a simple look that keeps on trending. Stacking more delicate rings next to a bolder band is another way to wear your favorites. And don't be afraid to mix metals. Rose gold next to white gold can be stunning. The same goes for yellow gold rings and rose gold rings.
The only rule when stacking rings is to wear what you like. You'll achieve a look that will be yours alone. And one that gives you a unique personal style.
